Re: Support from family and friends?

Lilac Rose,

It can be a lonely experience being chronically ill. That is why this forum is so good, you can feel like others understand and you don't have to always be explaining yourself.

I find that people understand much better if you describe things in terms that they can understand. Similarily to Onwards, I told people when I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Then I talked about my Lyme disease treatment. I didn't go into details that my treatment was a bunch of herbs and supplements. Now, I have just told family and friends that I am trying a new treatment which has helped others with Lyme. When people ask how my "medication" is working, I don't correct them, but just answer their questions as if my supplements were medicine.

Keep your spirits up,
