Re: What should I expect from gastroenterologist app?
Great to hear back from you.Thank you again SO much for all your advice.
I phoned today to make an appointment after their website saying they do have an infectious disease doctor, to be told they no longer have one. There are several other ones about 50 miles away which I will try.
I think your tip of simply stating the facts is the right approach.I think I have improved with the antihelmintics.I have days when I feel better and days when I feel a lot worse, particularly whilst taking praziquantel.I have an itchy, pin prick rash which comes and goes on my ankles, weird.I do know one thing for sure, there is something happening.I have tried a lot of other things before, but none have caused the changes I am feeling now.
That is hilarious that your doctor googles whilst you are sitting beside her.I have read loads and will try and remember a few valid ones incase needed to add strength to my case.
I am about to start a weeks rest and was going to take raw garlic for the week, what do you think?
Supposing I get on the doctors' list,I would imagine the best time to transfer back to the NHS would be before they do any tests so as not to incurr further costs. What do you think?
You are correct, even if nothing comes out of this I have to do it to rule other things out.I know it is early days for me and I am being realistic knowing that this is not going to be quick especially since I have been ill for so long.
Thank you.
