This is unfortunate, and this is my opinion on the situation as we are all entitiled to one. The Mirena is intended for women who do not want to conceive and is worrisome that we still can, sure the Dr. Said there might be a slight possibility but I never imagined it could carry on to 11 wks. I`ve had mine since 2009 & I got the Mirena because I do not like babies, there just not for me. I aksed my Dr. If I could get my tubs tied but he said I am to young for that so for now this is my only option. Now for those who are complaining that your worried about a miscarriage are just plain annoying youre doctor tells you all the side effects and risks before insert. They say specifacally that a pregnancy may occure but greatly fail due to Mirena, so if you all wanted another baby or feel bad about being pregnant while on Mirena and the chance of survival is close to none, sorry to say this but this is what you signed up for. To say you wish Mirena was taken out of the mareket is way to extreme and some of us like this option. I hope I am never in this unfortunate situation because I would be so mad at the fact that I am pregnant... good thing I ran into this, making appt asap to get mine checked up.
