Interesting you mention this. I am currently taking 20 mg of hydrocortisone daily, for about 6 months already...10 in morning, 5 in afternoon, 5 before dinner. I am planning on slowly weaning off starting in August...when I will be done with studying and further stresses. I got into this horrific mess from severe candida die off for years accompanied by no sleep pulling all nighters for school, and a "till I collapse" attitude. Well surely enough in May of 2012 I literally collapsed. I couldn't walk out of my bed without feeling totally out of breath and being weak in the knees. Lam's protocol helped for a couple of months...then I got worse than before after about 5 months....and only THEN I HAD TO resort to hydrocortisone...otherwise I would never take it. I gotta be honest I'm not sure if it has been helping me or not. Maybe my body has just stabilized on its own....but I'm kinda reluctant to wean off now because I still have a lot to do until August.
Man there's no clear cut answer on this and it's so frustrating. Now I got myself guessing whether I should start taking DHEA as well. I was 142 pounds when I first crashed May of 2012, and ever since stopping Lam's protocol I've been gaining some weight....and now am at 165....but I still look really really skinny.
I just can't wait to have some off time free from the demands and stresses of life so I can just stop taking the HC already....I hate feeling like my body isn't capable of functioning on its own without taking something.
So if I decide to take it, how much DHEA should I be taking in your opinion and how should I divide the doses throughout the day...given my current HC schedule.
