The belly of the beast is ALL about panic and fear. Their constant questioning of the same thing doesn't surprise me in the least. Heck, I find it no surprise that you have to do this under the "guise" of keeping costs down; insurance and pharmedico are heavily intertwined.
In my situation, keeping ME insured is what causes me stress and anxiety - lololol. I'm the third most costly drain on this family because of the insurance to cover me. We cannot pay for the bc/bs family insurance through hubby's work ($21,000 per year JUST for our daughter and me) so we got bc/bs's 'basic blue' which is JUST hospitalization (catastrophic insurance) - It causes me anxiety every time I write that check as it's 250 for just me every month. oy. It doesn't even cover doctor visits. I've NEVER needed it yet; we've only had ONE claim and it was on our daughter. We're finally down to owing the last $140 co-pay on last year's claim on her.
Of course it went up exponentially LAST year when I turned 55. Doesn't matter how healthy I am. I am a statistic.
The fear is played up big time. Every time I ask hubby if we s hould just dr op me, he says, "No - as soon as we drop you from the insurance then something WILL happen to you and then we'll SURELY be up a sh!t crik!"
It's all about fear.
I find my daughter's latest discovery oddly synchronistic, this is now her all-time favorite band:
