Surviving the first 3 days: LOTS of water when feeling a craving. You will not be thinking about water when feeling a craving, but make yourself drink it regardless. Works for me.

Also, form very clear POSITIVE picture in your mind why you are doing this. Don't fight it, don't do this "f*** me" stuff: you can't hate yourself into healing. When a craving appears, bring up that positive image and its associated feelings. Focus on that image.

Make sure that image is truly positive. When making it up, watch your body. If you're still tensing yourself up against some part of that image, either the image or some part of your mindset need adjusting. You can do it for who you want to be, but not for who you *should* be or *should* want to be.
