I believe coconut oil will help to clear candida. So try oil pulling with coconut oil. You may also want to use oregano oil in your pulling oil to help.
From my understanding a body that is acidic (this can be measured as an acid levels in urine), that is not properly oxygenated (i.e., oxygen in blood) and toxic (organs of elimination are unable to clear all the toxins so there is a build up int he body) would develop all kinds of 'diseased' symptoms.

so you need to think about changing the acid/alkaline balance in your body by changing your diet and exercising more. As well as detoxing your body and helping your liver and kidneys (and skin) to eliminate toxins while making sure you avoid adding to the load.
Acidity in the body can be changed with diet, same with oxygen. Body deals with acidity better when exercised regularly. Sedentary lifestyle contributes to over acidity. Sugar and white flour (bread, pasta) are your biggest enemies if you have overgrown candida. green leafy vegetables are your friend:)
Oil pulling - on the other hand - will help you to eliminate toxins. There are many testimonials and reports here on this forum of amazing detoxification that happens with oil pulling. Plus, if you do it with coconut oil, Lauric acid in coconut will help to kill 'bad' candida as it is antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial.

So when you think about it, yes, start oil pulling now, and yes, it is possible that periodontal disease is linked to candida. Whether it causes it or not is really not that important. Once you get your body into a good balanced state, no disease can continue.
