I am just trying to get to the root cause of my fragmented sleep. The most usual pattern for me is getting to sleep, sleeping 5 hours, waking up. Then there is "trial period" in which my patience and luck are tested. If am patient AND lucky I roll back to sleep in no time. Sometimes like tonight I am awake one hour. Then I get to sleep for one hour and I wake and this repeats 3 times or so. My pattern of now is thus 5h-1h-1h-1h. The most consistent thing is waking up after 5 hours the others vary.
Anyone is familiar with this? My research points adrenals and thyroid as the culprits of this. Sleep aids doesn´t seem to touch the fragmented sleep at all which would make sense since my tests show severe adrenal hormones defficiencies and some degree of hypothyroidism.
