I've seen that study or another one similar to it previously where they didn't find the use of beta-glucans to be beneficial. Candida has the ability to secrete its own cell wall beta-glucans into its surrounding environment to help aid in the hyphal conversion and suppression of immune responses. I haven't seen any additional benefits from the use of beta-glucans in eliminating fungal candida, even though they are known for stimulating a Th1 immune response that should be more effective against candida. Candida still has a lot to teach us.
