Re: Constipated

Well another thing to consider is also your stress level, your worry, anger and fear. It sounds as though you are quite vigilant with your diet, you've educated yourself, you eat really well(for the most part, but fer cryin out loud, what's wrong with the occasional treat?) . You exercise.

And what the heck is up with people that eat like crap, don't exercise and never get sick? And live to be 100?

Bowel activity is one of the most intimate and personal functions of the body. It can be a source of embarrassment and worry. It can stem all the way back to when we were potty trained, interactions with siblings and ill-timed farting lol.

I used to suffer severe constipation when traveling, even when going to visit my mother(that ought to have been a clue....). The sense of anxiety I had was not... normal. I am not sure what cascade of events finally "cured" this, but it's no longer an issue.

One of the suggested protocols we have used here at CZ for detox is the coffee enema. You can find an informative FAQ on that in our "iodine answers" link at the top of the page. I used coffee enemas myself. The funny thing was how anxious and embarrassed I felt in the beginning. There I was, alone in my bathroom, with noone around and I felt a sense of shame. My early conditioning instilled a sense of shame and anxiety in relation to ummm... POOP. !!!

I could be completely off-base with this but it's very common, especially in women. Things aren't as bad as they used to be but we women are supposed to be clean and sweet right? At all times. My mom told me, "women don't sweat, they glow". WHAT???!!! That's an impossible standard. Not fair is it? Men are proud of their farts and we women are only able to fart silently, in a crowd. lololol...

So, relax. Easier said than done I know.
