btw, my dad is nearing 80 and has more energy and feels better than he did at 40. he has the GENETIC disease hemochromatosis. basically too much iron. they slough off blood to get rid of the accumulated iron. he is also a rare blood type and has been called out in the wee hours to give blood for transfusion. that was before the diagnosis. after that the same iron rich blood they were saving lives with is now biological waste. no wonder i have no respect for this system.

bottom line, they draw heavily at first to jump start the bone marrow to over-produce red blood cells and the excess iron goes out of the body through these new blood cells. once equilibrium has been achieved then a less rigorous schedule is followed for maintenance.

with Iodine he no longer has to have his blood drawn.

give blood. the life it saves may well be your own. it has medicinal value to YOU to do it.
