Try adding in another activity in place of cooking and eating. If you don't have to prepare food for your family, maybe take a walk, watch a sunset, rent a good movie, or call a friend who needs to talk. If I didn't have to cook for the kids, I would probably have taken a stroll down the beach and done some drawing at those "tough" times.
If you still have to be in the kitchen during that time, then it's a good exercise in self-control! ;^) Not such a bad investment, actually, when you think about it. God bless and fast on!! (Oh, and food will be there for you when you're done ... that's another thing I tell my mind when the cravings start: "not now, later.")
