Lump Appeared Suddenly in Thigh When Iodine Dosage Increase

Hi all, since last Monday I increased my dosage of Iodine from 50 mg to 100 mg with iodoral tabs. I've been taking it with all required co-supplements (minus the salt in water) for the last 2-3 months.

On Thursday I noticed a huge lump on my inner right thigh that appeared out of no where (about 3 inches from the pubis in a fatty area). Initially it felt like it was connected to the muscle and almost the size of a golf ball - this scared me so I thought maybe it was a cyst so I put some garlic on it overnight. The next day it didn't feel like it had a 'head' like a normal cyst or pimple, it was just solid and big in size; not really circular either very close to the skin surface.

So on Saturday I started to paint it with Iodine (5% lugol's) - within 30 minutes it felt like the inside of it that was near the muscle 'blew up', like a weird rush of cold or warm water inside the skin, which made me think it is a cyst, but I've never had anything this BIG without any pain before (it doesn't hurt, just uncomfortable). It went from golf ball size to about nickel/quarter width.

Fast forward to Tuesday I'm still feeling scared/stressed and couldn't even finish a full work day. I went to the doctor (family physician) and he said it could be a bug bite or cyst and prescribed me some Antibiotics and a cream (not sure if I am scared enough to take it). I'm going to continue to paint it with lugol's.

Has anyone else experienced this? I used to have very fibrocystic breasts (almost gone now thanks to iodine). I also keep a pretty clean diet with no gluten or dairy, although recently I did have some organic butter (not grass fed just organic) could this have caused it?
