I wish my doctor would have told me I had the blood abnormality due to an autoimmune disease. But, maybe he didn't know what it meant. For people with intestinal absorption problems like me, it is probably best to absorb vitamin D through your skin directly in the sun until your intestines are healed.
Candidawars,
Please keep us updated on the vitamin D dosage your doctor recommends over time. I know you said you took 50,000 IU the first month, then 30,000 IU the second month. Does the level keep dropping 10,000 IU each month until you reach 10,000 IU or 5,000 IU? Once you raise your vitamin D to a normal level, what is the maintenance dosage?
