Help!! Is there anyone with the same symptoms as me? Pleae help...am getting desperate.
Went to see an endocrin today. He listened. Asked me a bunch of questions which led me to initially believe he understood AF. His assessment...is that I must be bi-polar or manic depressive b/c each one my episodes precedes a period of fatigue and sleeping a lot then being hyper and too much energy. I thought people with this condition vacillate between the two extremes constantly within a matter of days or hours.
My periods of fatigue came during overtraining. i then move into agitiation or stage 1 alarm phase and get stuck there. I am usually ok and clam when at rest but become easily overstimulated to where I don't want to be in public spaces or feel a rush of adrenaline if I have to move around quickly.
He cited my mother who suffered from anxiety during perimenopause. She too had difficulty with insomnia as well as osteoporosis.
What makes me want to throw in the towel and think maybe these doctors are right is that most posters here suffer from true fatigue symptoms. I never get tired. I don't get the "crash" or not being able to get out of bed. When you look at symptoms of manic Depression they mirror both high and low cortisol symptoms which I seem to have as well. My moring and night cortisol are high but then I do have some low AF symptoms like shaking under stress, insomnia, waking b/w 2-4am.
Is it possible that these doctors are right? If I though it would heal me, I would jump on it. But then again, I can't believe "manic depression" or "pyschosis" snuck up on me overnight, he also had no good explanation why my periods suddenly changed either so I thought maybe is really was adrenal driven.
I am chewing on seriphis like candy. Hasn't made an impact. Am wondering if I do need something stronger.
