Firstly I would like to say that I am glad that you are open minded and keep your conversation on this topic healthy. I also appreciate your comments, they add to this discussion.
Those studies you mentioned leave a lot to be examined as well. I question things like how that meat was obtained, was it a strictly grain fed, feed lot animal pumped full of hormones? or was it wild meat? Sources of our foods have a deep impact. Just like you mentioned about the trees giving us fruit with large amounts of nutrients. Grow those same fruits in a lab, and I am sure the quality will be lacking.
I agree that fruits are good for pretty much everyone, unless they have an ailment like diabetes. But I don't believe that all people absolutely need fruit, as is readily demonstrated by many people who thrive without it world wide. And yes I do believe in God as well. And if a person can be healed by eating a diet subsiding of only raw meat, who am I to argue with that... seems like Gods will to me.
