I really don't recommend anything to do with formal psychotherapy, unless you can find one that practices EMDR or EFT. Government agencies often hire therapists that can't stand on their own. Sadly too often there is a "victim mentality" when it comes to these groups and becoming a professional victim is not what any of us want.

With conventional psychotherapy on average it takes 5 years to overcome the traumas dealing with a rape. I have seen numerous times using some of the new energy therapies these traumas overcome in only one session.

I would suggest that you try WHEE, it is simple and easy to get started.

I use a more advanced technique with my clients, but with WHEE you can try it on your own and see if it helps.
