Hey GinaGirl! Thanks! Unfortunately my sleep dep is primarily due to my son waking frequently to nurse, he just turned 6 months so this is developmentally appropriate yet debilitating none the less. There are times where I find it hard to fall asleep even once he is, so good point on relaxation techniques. I am going to try some basic yoga in the evening to 'wind down'. There are so many changes and yes like you said the 'high alert' state, while great for caring for my son, is taking a toll on my body.
Is magnesium linked to sleep? Perhaps I need to reassess my magnesium intake and try to increase the supply in my breastmilk.
