Correct, Miracle-Mineral-Supplement contains chlorine dioxide, not not just chlorine.

It is well known that heavy metals such as mercury like to bind to SH/thiol groups such as those in the important liver antioxidant, glutathione and alpha lipoic acid, the chelator used in Cutler's detox protocol.

MMS does not seem to contain thiol groups. I'd be interested in the theory on how Miracle-Mineral-Supplement might "neutralize mercury." It does not seem to contain anything known to bind well enough with mercury to make it safe.

Are you claiming that production of mercury chloride would be in effect neutralizing mercury? Centuries ago mercury chloride was used as a "medication" for syphilis, but this often resulted in mercury poisoning!

I realize we use various poisons as medicines--chemotherapy, coumadin (rat poison), etc; however what parent would make a "bleach" and "disinfectant" the treatment of choice for an autistic child other than a parent in a Third World country with very few options?
