I'm in shock -- my hormones are normal

I thought I was having heart problems, so I made an appt. and had a bunch of tests run, including a chest x-ray. I have insulin resistance so they checked the insulin, and other related blood Sugar tests. I have PCOS, so I had them check FSH, LH, Progesterone and testosterone. I have a weak thyroid so I had them do a full thyroid panel. I have had high cholesterol in the past, and my blood pressure is higher than it's ever been, so I had them check my cholesterol.

Most everything came back normal. The only thing that is of concern is glucose tolerance, and it's only "slightly impaired".

I have not been on any medications for years. I've been very inconsistent with taking my supplements which support my endocrine system (thyroid and blood sugar). The only thing that I take regularly isLugol's Iodine and I use one drop of ylang ylang essential oil daily on my belly.

My fasting insulin is NORMAL after years of being high
My LH and FSH after years of being out of whack are NORMAL and at the right ratio
My testosterone after years of being high is NORMAL
My progesterone is at the right level for the day of my cycle after years of being low

I asked her in all seriousness, "Are you sure it was MY blood you tested??"

How does that happen? I have the old blood test results showing insulin resistance and PCOS. My guess is Lugol's, even though I've been inconsistent (when I take it, I use 8 drops, but it's not daily, sometimes not even weekly) and I haven't been taking any of the supporting minerals. I have a QXCI biofeedback machine, but haven't been on it regularly -- maybe once a month.

I have no other symptoms of impending heart attack, so I'm guessing the flutters are stress related. The high blood pressure may be stress related, too, and I'm going to work on that. I'm glad I don't have to worry about stoke or heart attack -- my dad started having heart issues when he was in his early 40s and I just turned 40 so I was definitely freaking out a bit.

I'm in shock -- I woke up thinking about it all night long. Holy cow, my hormones are normal after 20+ years of being crazy and I don't think I can say I have IR or PCOS anymore.

Thank you for this forum and for bringing to my attention all the wonderful things Lugol's can do!
