Are probiotics always good?

Needing some advice again.

Im hearing many conflicting stories. I hear that probiotics are good, then I hear they can hurt you, if you have bacteria in the small intestine. Well, I added goat milk kefir to my everyday regime, plus just plain goat milk. However, this plain goat milk was ultra pasteurized. I felt great at first, then I felt like crap.

Since My gut became inflamed, I haven't done so great with milk, and gluten products. Oddly, cheese doesn't bother me. I just purchased some water kefir grains, and they're growing and fermenting like crazy within a week! Im scared to drink it now, because Im not sure if the goat milk kefir set me back. Not sure if it was the milk, or the bacteria in the milk. What do you all think?
