Re: High T4, Low T3 - blood results
So more details.
I have been on
Lugol's for 8 years. I started low and built it up to 50 drops to get rid of some cysts. Some small ones went away, bi ones did not get affected. 50 drops were done for a few months, but this is way far back.
After that I was taking about 15 drops everyday in the morning and co-supplements in the evening, which I dropped to 10 drops, because I was feeling good overall.
In 2012 December I had some gout like symptoms. I saw my doctor (MD, but a Naturopath) and he decided to do a 24 hour collection urine test when he learned that I take
Iodine everyday. He cam back with the results, in February 2013. He said that I had too much
Iodine in my urine and do not need to take
Iodine anymore. So I stopped it for entire 2013. Then I got very dry skin and so I started taking
Lugol's again, 10 drops a day. I had been diagnosed to be Insulin Resistant after a few GTTs. I stopped taking
Lugol's again in August when my Insulin Resistance was really bad. Tingling in my feet and hands. After a 9 day fast all those symptoms went away, but returned after a week or so. I am better now but still get numb feeling now and then.
09/2014 my doctor was doing another blood test when he realized that my Thyroid TSH, T3, T4 very high. He called me and called in Armour prescription. Usually he does not prescribe meds unless necessary. I took Armour only for two days and my Thyroid was hurting so I called him and he suggested to stop Armour.
I had my blood test done again on 02/2015 to see if my Thyroid is ok that is when I poste here.
My major concern is that I eat a lot but do not gain weight anywhere but my tummy. Also my hands and chest area has lost all fat.
Thanks, ferventer for going in detail to answer my question.
