Re: 25 Facts About the Pharmaceutical Industry, Vaccines and “Anti-Vaxers”

Exactly, there is no criteria for diagnosis. So any child that shows unusual talents or weaknesses get stuck with the diagnosis.

My niece's son is 8 years old, yet he reads at a 10th grade level. When I converse with him he wastes no time to get to the root of the subject. He was "diagnosed" with autism.

His weakness is he misses the emotional cues that most kids notice, but then most kids miss the intellectual cues he immediately spots. Then who should be diagnosed?

Actually I quite enjoy conversing with him, his intelligence is refreshing, but I could see how this would upset some of his school teachers.

Drugs I agree should not be used and school itself turns the gifted into school haters.
