Do you have historical data of you thyroid hormones since starting iodine? Historical personal data is really the only way to see what effect the Iodine is having, otherwise its really just a guess.
I would say however as Brownstien states and many here have corroborated, Iodine consumption can cause a transitory rise in TSH.
As for Iodine causing someone to go hyper or hypo, yes it can IF other essential nutrients are missing and this is why you hear all the reports of people having problems when they supplement iodine, doing so often highlights other nutrient shortages.
