" accept the fact that anxiety disorder is not a medical issue. "
Well you can pretty much ignore someone who posts something that foolish.
A person has a head injury in an auto accident and has a personality change.
A person gets mercury poisoned in accident at work--a chem factory.
I imagine the list could go on.
A close female friend suffered for decades from people like "Soulfulsurvivor." She had a traumatic childhood and was a victim of violent crime as a teen. It was not unreasonable for them to assume there was a psychological reason for being nearly disabled with PTSD.
However even though she frequently went to counselors, tried psych meds, went to spiritual directors, was fortunate to be able to live a relatively low stress lifestyle, ate a good diet and went to support group meetings almost weekly she still only made modest progress.
She has been noticeably better in just 30 min after taking GABA or glutamine. In 24 hrs pregnenolone (adrenal hormone support) she had more access to her intellect that would shut down in times of stress.
I'm certainly not suggesting that those will work for everyone! I'm also not suggesting that people ignore the types of support that Soulfulsurvivor recommends. Just don't forget that humans also have a physical body that can be damaged or poisoned.
The doctors's 6 yr old nephew became violent and was plagued with homicidal thoughts even though he was from a healthy family. Dr A. did a Spect brain scan on the boy and noticed a large area of very low activity in part of his brain. A subsequent scan (MRI?) revealed a tumor. After surgery the boy's previously healthy personality returned.
