Basal cell carcinoma cure without surgery?

Hello, new to this.
My 88 year old mom had small mole removed from upper lip last week. it's basal call carcinoma.
they have suggested Mohs surgery, but after the ordeal i went through just getting her to dermatologist and having it removed i don't think she will go for it. i have done extensive research online in regards to topical alternative and none of the prescription kind seems suitable either. i am at wits end. this is consuming my every waking minute. I have been suggested by good friend (and acupuncturist) to try a homemade topical consisting of Goldenseal=olive oil extract+ turmeric. I have read so many articles and forums on this im completely overwhelmed.If anyone here can help in any way or give me information on anything i have mentioned, i would be so appreciative.
