Re: How can I make it through Christmas?!?!?!
Just remember that it really is MIND OVER MATTER. I completed my very first Master-Cleanse
of 21 days, going straight through Thanksgiving. Imagine how I felt looking at all the delicious food and sipping my lemonade. I even sat at the table while others ate, but I was strong (though I did try to convince myself a few times that I could eat a little and start again the next day :), but I forced myself to deal with the fact that I made a committment. A committment to myself that I was going to stick to.
Don't make excuses for yourself, instead fight those excuses that you'll make in your head :) Yes, it is Christmas and there are gonna be lots of festivities and gatherings to get through, and it is going to be tough, but keep telling yourself that you made a choice to do this. A choice for a happier, healthier life. Think of all the benefits of the cleanse. Try to prepare yourself mentally for the challenges that will come when you attend the gatherings. Come here and post the day of the gathering if you need to. The food is still going to be there after your cleanse. You will eat again :).
There is lots of love and support here. I actually couldn't sign on to this site fast enough on days when I had the urges to eat, needed extra support, and some virtual hugs :). There were days when I thought sure I was gonna blow it (I remember coming here and having to be talked down from the ledge on day 15, as I practically had one foot out the door to get a pizza :), but through the help of all here, I persevered. Everyone is here to help you through. If I can survive Thanksgiving, I know that it truly is MIND OVER MATTER!!
By the way, I can't even explain the feeling of accomplishment that comes along with ALL of the other benefits of the cleanse. It is just incredible!! In the end, you will be so glad you stuck it out and your body will thank you. BE STRONG and STAY FOCUSED!!
