Re: I hear the sound of science

It's the methylation cycle that needs looking at.

---
Thank you for all the details about the chlorides and salt flushing, that's good info!
Reacting poorly to selenium indicates you may need help with making glutathione.
---

Methylation issues are helped with B-complex vits that have folate (best is 5-mthf form), B-6 (Pyroxidal 5-phosphate form) and B12 (adenocobalamin and methylcobalamine) in.

I use TMG myself in 1.5-3g when I feel a need for help with the selenium. It is.. useful. :)

Newport has posted about it a lot.

Muscle twitching and issues speaking (switching around words, confusion, moodswings) can easily be a release of mercury. Collagenic and fatty tissues like the protective cells around neurons are known for getting locked up with mercury.

In that case, work on the methylation cycle.
The methylation cycle's the one that makes your glutathione, the main detoxifier and a major part of your energy levels and immune system.

Here's how it works:

Note he has 'SAM-e' marked on the whiteboard on the illustration of the methylation cycle-

Tri-methyl-glycine (TMG) is a precursor of S-adenosyl-methionine (SAM-e). In the liver, one of the methyl groups is loaned from TMG so it can be used in making glutathione. This process helps recycle homocysteine, which is one of the body's detoxing compounds..

When you have high levels of homocysteine in the blood, it feels especially achy in the joints- it can lead to a lot of crankiness and feels a bit like the flu.

The methylation cycle is necessary to breaking down that homocysteine.

SAM-e and TMG accomplish the same goals in the liver, but the difference is that TMG has three methyl groups in it and SAM-e has two methyl groups.
TMG costs a lot less
SAM-e is sold as a mood stabilizer and for healthy joints. (and TMG accomplishes the same goal)

.. It's just cheaper than SAM-e because it's extracted from beetroot juice.
