I use a type of vitamin C that has a slow release on it, but I don't know that I'm supposed to say a brand. Anyway, it doesn't cause the poopy problems that some do. If you take what you're supposed to take per day on the bottle, which is 4 tablets, then you're taking 4,000 mg per day. It also has l-lysine HCI in it, 400 mg.
If you google Vitamin C w/SRT, then you might can find it. That's not the brand name, though. (note: SRT means sustained release technology.)
Also, I can't take vitamin C with food, so I take it about 2 hours after I eat and at bedtime. The reason is that it makes a person absorb iron, and since I have gout, I don't want or need extra iron. At my age I have probably about all the stored iron that I need.
