I honestly think I have always had this to a much lesser degree, so I'm still unsure what is going on exactly. Ever since I was a child I would get these randomly, but so infrequently, like one thump/flutter in my foot or leg maybe once every couple of months. Since there is absolutely no pain involved I always thought it was a random muscle spasm, just more concentrated in a very small spot, and less spasm-y, if that makes sense. It really feels and looks like someone is tapping on my leg. The skin will move as if being lightly touched. Tap on your thigh with a finger. That what it feels like and you can see your flesh being pressed down slightly. This is all it is for me now, just a lot more frequently and in a lot more places.

Luckily, the biting, stinging, burning, stabbing sensations are pretty much gone. Those were unbearable...
