If your worms are only in the intestinal tract, pyrantel pamoate should work if you take enough. And it is much gentler on your liver as very little of it is absorbed.
Enemas should give you immediate relief. The problem with worms in the lower intestine is that meds don't always get that far unless the bowels are moving fast. This is true for all worms--strongyloides and pinworms. Also the eggs have a greater chance of hatching with a slower moving bowel.
I recommend buying pyrantel pamoate horse paste available at all farm/feed stores. It is very inexpensive--comes to about $1 per day. I also recommend buying a bottle of Miralax powder at your pharmacy. The one I have is 17.9 ounces and has 30 doses. A month supply for around $15. You can adjust the amount that you need. It is not really a laxative, it is just a very good stool softener and won't cause dependence. But it will get the bowels moving as fast as you want them to move.
