Deworming, What would you do different If you knew then what you know now?

I know my teenage daughter has parasites, but I am afraid to attempt deworming. For one I would hate to give her something that would cause scattering. I would hate to have her go thru the 2 yr ordeal that I have gone through. If you had to treat yourself or a loved one for parasites what would you do differently?

How would you approach it?
