Fasting to lose weight is a shortterm solution which will backfire longterm... bigtime


Hey guys, hoping to share my experiences with you to save yourself a LOT of needless suffering:

Fasting, along with pretty much all diet restrictions to lose weight, is nothing more than a Band-Aid solution. You will lose weight... and slow down your metabolism, destroying your health and setting the stage to gain back all the weight. Throw away the scale and use an oral thermometer to determine your metabolic rate. If you are overweight, its probably below 37 degrees. Weight gain is an endocrine problem, which has nothing to do with calories, only a little to do with micronutrient deficiencies, and a TON to do with polyunsaturated vegetable oils and stressors, which include: insufficient calories, too much water, too much salt, not enough sleep, too much exercise, and mental stress.

If you are focusing on short term results you are on the wrong track. Fix your metabolism, and you can eat ANYTHING you want without gaining weight. Force your body to lose weight and all you will do is cause a vicious cycle which will NEVER be fixed. All the solutions for weight problems are in my book, and none of them involve fasting.
