Interesting, you have answered a question I hadn't yet got around to asking, which was:

Is it safe to use Lugol's in a nebulizer.

I had seen the comment on the web (from someone apparently knowledgeable) that you should not use Lugol's, but only SSKI . Presumably it was the elemental Iodine he was worried about.
