How to Deal with Bad Taste in Mouth

I am currently on my seventh day of a water fast. I'm having a hard time mentally, probably because I am definitely putting too much emphasis on one specific physical concern that I want/NEED to be gone.

However, I find that I am not able to drink as much as I want, because the taste of the water I'm drinking is grossly affected by the bitter, nasty taste in my mouth, and probably the toxin build-up on my tongue. I have tried brushing my teeth and scraping my tongue with my toothbrush, but I can't get rid of it. Any tips? I don't want to get dehyrated. I'd just really like to take some long gulps of clear sweet water.
