The "simple gospel?"

What is the gospel? We kinda need to know what the gospel is in order to be going around preaching it.

Here, I'll get you started just a little bit. Jesus Himself preached "the gospel" and also told the disciples to preach "the gospel."

Exactly what IS this....gospel? My understanding is that "gospel" means "good news", but I keep running into preachers screaming at people on the streets that they had better quit sinning or they are going to die and BURN IN HELL FOREVER!!! First of all, Hell is a temporary place so they got THAT message wrong starting off. Next, Jesus never told them to preach bad news.

Hell and damnation? That doesn't sound like "good news" to me so obviously these preachers aren't obeying Jesus.

So tell me....what exactly IS this "good news" that Jesus said to preach? You get only ONE shot at this bub. lol Tweet
