Re: Questions about wisdom teeth removal

What are the dangers of trying to save money on the wisdom tooth removals?

One could be not removing the ligaments that hold the tooth in the bone, and cleaning out the area where the tooth was which could create many problems with your health, and would require a cavatational surgery which would cost more than the tooth removal.

I had that happen. Caused my jaw at the hinge to lock up when I chewed, causing a lot of pain down the back side of my neck into my right shoulder.

Had a cavitat done in that area of the mouth, $300 per quadrant. I only had to do one because of knowing where the problem area was. Then the cost of the tooth removal. 12 to 15 years ago.

My opinion is dental schools wouldn't be good because even the dentists that graduate don't know health issues because they are taught to install amalgam, and root canals.
