Re: Psychadelic Dreams from Candida Die-off

I can't speak specifically to dreams, but in the beginning everything about my experience with this infection had a psychedelic tinge. I had full-blown delusions and auditory hallucinations. I felt a mystical presence which I believed was watching and controlling me. I have no history of this kind of mental illness, and even at the time I knew something wasn't right. But I couldn't control my fear and paranoia.

A few weeks ago I accidentally consumed a large quantity of mycotoxins without realizing (dried spice concoction). I had what you might call a mild hallucination of a dark face watching me from the corner of my eye. It made me feel strange. I recognized the feeling instantly.

I was hospitalized 4 months ago for psychosis brought on by the fungus. And my body is STILL struggling to eliminate it and find its balance. But my Depression has waned greatly and I no longer have nonsensical thoughts. I've learned not to "trust my gut." I hope this wasn't too tangential but I know what you mean when you say psychedelic. In my case I'd probably use "mystical." For me this has definitely been a trip. Tweet
