Hey TheLaughingDogs! So great to see you are doing well! I also used to "lurk" out here quite a bit, and always enjoyed learning from your posts! I'm also doing much better. I too fell into bad adrenal fatigue from high copper. I am back to running 10K's now! I actually supplemented with copper to try to get my natural hair color darker! Bad decision! Anyway, those prickly feelings can be due to oxalates. Chocolate and nuts are high in oxalates and can cause a leaky gut to be much worse. There is a great, free Yahoo group (Trying_Low_Oxalates) you can join to learn more and gain access to a free spreadsheet showing the oxalate content in specific foods. A low oxalate diet has helped me a lot. I also found I got much better when focusing on liver detox supplements & taurine and things to help my thyroid. I now can handle Iodoral, Tyrosine, Selenium and a Raw Thyroid supplement. That along with coconut oil really improved my energy levels. Now I'm also taking small amounts of Boron to detox fluoride. I also regularly take collagen and protein powder for the amino acids that are so helpful for rebuilding & detoxing your body. I still believe mineral balancing is huge for recovery.
