hi, I've been doing all kinds of liver support herbs for a long time.. .I didn't think I had gallstones, but an abscessed tooth resulted in a burp I couldn't get rid of, so I reconsidered Gallstones and started doing malic acid in the form of Nerds Rainbow candy and bile herb Boldo with fennel cardamon and fresh grated ginger and occasional coffee and olive oil. (I do a lot of ground up milk thistle and have for a while as well as other herbs) After a week I woke in the middle of the night with a terrific flutter in my solar plexus that I thought might be palpitations but it kinda felt good and I went back too sleep. Later I saw what looked like a stone in a whitish turd. (my crap turned white when my bile was temporarily blocked) The malic acid gave me more energy and I felt good until after I started passing stones and other chaff and goop from my liver which made me feel sick, constipated, and very tired. Some days I felt better. I now am doing charcoal and laxatives and less sugary forms of malic acid. I'd like to do the Epsom Salt method but I too do not tolerate Epsom Salts well. I eat much less meat and have lost weight mostly to loss of appetite. To do the Epsom Salts method you need a clean unconstipated bowel that has not experiened fat or protein in foods in the last couple of days. This has been tough for me to time and acheive as I cant go more than a few days without meat or some form of protien --there are nuts and cheese in my life and I have an odd work schedule. (Watermelons are really lovely in summer to cleanse) Your body does need superior vegetable and fruit food to heal, but I believe the liver is designed to heal itself and passing stones is a natural process and there is more than one way to make it happen. The flutter thing with stone passing seems to happen at night when your liver is healing. Know however, that if you are passing toxic stuff out of your liver and it needs to pass all the way through your intestines before it gets out of your body before you are officially "clean" you better think about how you are going to do that quickly and safely or you will be really sick and tired and just reabsorbing toxins. Charcoal, laxatives and good fresh food. Niacin and good organic coffee are two things that also help to expand and relax the bile duct to help expell stones before bed.
