But again, why doesn't God give everyone the experience of going to hell before it's their appointed time of death so that more would believe and have a desire to be saved from their sins?
This guy "supposedly" had to experience hell himself before he decided he didn't want to be an atheist anymore. Other people's stories of going to hell didn't do it for him. And look around the world. Pretty bleak as far as the number of non-believers, the majority of the world. All these stories of going to heaven or hell don't seem to be changing that fact. Maybe more need to go there directly themselves instead of hearing someone else's story about it.
If we believed these stories we might be tempted to think God would do better sending people to hell for a little while than to send out the gospel to the world.
Luke 16:27 27And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house— 28for I have five brothers—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’ 29But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”
