Yikes. In recent weeks a representative from my health insurance company has been calling me to ask what's going on. I'd called them seeking help before racing to the ER with a sample expecting someone to help me with a diagnosis. With skin issues, I understand more why they assume it's DP. Or perhaps if it's microscopic or you can't show them a picture. But, when you arrive with a plastic container holding what is obviously a three-inch parasite? I just don't understand the denials.
I don't understand why these people aren't taught to question things and seek solutions. It's maddening.
As I've researched this I've come to think that in the years to come the medical community will eventually develop more advanced testing and will eventually wake up to the fact this is a huge problem for many people. And, I fully expect researchers will find parasites are the cause of many health issues that could be healed if the parasite infestation were treated. Here's an example of the type of discovery I'm talking about: http://www.rivervalleyleader.com/news/article_d2f184e8-851b-11e5-b201-174ffd95001f.html
