New here and still waiting for the book

Hi everyone. I learned about the Master-Cleanse from some friends who I hadn't seen in a few months, upon seeing them I was shocked at all the weight they had lost and asked how the had been losing it. That is when they told me about their life changing cleanse. They sujested I google the lemonaide diet, and read everything I could about it, this is the first link I chose. I have been reading for days now and have become inspired and a little confused. I have order the book, I want to know everything before just jumping on the band wagon. I have been overweight since around the age of 10, when my birth father came back into my life. I have been on every diet and diet pill out there, my mother started me on dexetrim when I was 12, that didn't go over so well, I wasn't eating but I was also a mager pain....and that's putting it nicely. I have tried all sorts of diets, I lose a little wieght but end up putting it back on, My friends told me that there was more to this and that it wasn't about losing the weight, but for the body cleansing. My mom is really into herbs and the such for losing weight. I will not lie, what first attracted me to this was the potiental for losing weight fast, as my friend had lost 75 pounds in a little over 4 months, that scared me, as my experience has been the faster it comes off the faster it comes right back, they informed me that they had completely changed their eating habits and are now vegitarians. Seeing as I have a husband and three beautiful children that would greatly protest such a life change I was just wondering if anyone else was in a similar situation and how that is working for them? I am not ready to start the MC, I want more info on it. Like do I need to quit smoking to do this cleanse? I know for health reasons I should quit smoking but was hoping that I could at least have the cigs if I wasn't getting the food. ha, ha, I am sure there are several of you that would have something to say about this. Also that same friend of mine told me about all the energy he has now and that is something I am lacking in greatly. I have been a stay at home mom for 10 years off and on, and the one thing I have perfected in those years is my cooking abilities....he, he. I am overweight and tired. I need this cleanse, but wondering if it would even help if I am going to continue with the smoking? My biggest fear is being an embarrassment to my children at school functions. I don't want them teased because of my weight. To be real honest, I too feel that I hide behind the weight out of fear of rejection for any other flaws that I might have. There I have laid it all out there for you all to read, I am anxiously awaiting your responses.
