I eliminated several severe tooth infections that required root canals by doing the following:
1. Apply clove essential oil to the infected tooth and gum area, rubbing it in very well, 3-5 times daily. And, no Sugar and frequent brushings with baking soda with/without fine Sea Salt . Within one week when I saw the Dentist he asked "where did the infected tooth go"?
2. Other experts indicate that in addition to applying essential oils directly to the infected tooth, it is best to also apply it externally on the skin over the infected area, multiple times a day. Mix the essential oils with a carrier such as olive oil, coconut oil, and/or emu oil and you can add DMSO to make them penetrate more deeply.
Some of the best essential oils to use for infected teeth would be clove mixed with oregano oil. Some would also include Peppermint for its ability to act as a "driver" and synergism.
Oregano oil can penetrate the bone and clove oil is so effective for any tooth infection that almost half of all the dental products still used by dentists today still contain clove essential oil.
This method would also work for cavitations (subclinical chronic bone infection). Though, oil pulling (with essential oils added to the oil) is also included in the routine. The traditional oil to use in oil pulling is organic cold pressed sesame seed oil. I would pull for 20 minutes, twice daily, first thing in the morning and before going to bed and after brushing/flossing teeth. Then, rinse with a hydrogen peroxide water solution and do not swallow any of the contaminated oil.
Another well known holistic physician who has great success with treating infected teeth also includes another treatment to those listed above, a Bentonite clay pack: stuff a finger cot with the clay and leave it between the tooth and cheek overnight. You can add activated charcoal, Epsom Salts , essential oils, traditional Ayurvedic or Chinese tooth infection herbs, and other things to this clay pack ... or not.
