Re: psyllium

What is your thought about this excerp from Citrucel's homepage?

If your doctor recommends that you take a fiber product daily, Citrucel can help you stay regular without excess gas or bloating*. Other fiber powders, including Metamucil, contain psyllium. Psyllium can ferment in your body to produce excess gas. Citrucel's fiber can't ferment, so it won't produce excess gas*.

Non-fermentable.
Fermentable fibers may be digested by bacteria in the colon and produce gas in the large intestine. People who use these types of fibers may feel bloated or cramped. Non-fermentable fibers, on the other hand, are less likely to produce gas* in the large intestine and may be easier on your digestive system. CITRUCEL (Methylcellulose) is a non-fermentable fiber.
