Carrie: One comment I would make is that garlic, as a sulfur-containing compound, will release same into the blood supply and skin (including the scalp, but not the hair itself, which is dead matter). That might explain any odor noticed, although it's said that candida sufferers can sometimes have a beer-like odor since yeast can turn Sugar into alcohol in their bodies very rapidly. Effective anti-yeast treatment and restoring the bacteria imbalance in the gut are the key to treatment.

Cutting back on the garlic and/or trying other herbals in lieu of garlic, deoderant soaps, and the like can be of assistance for the "hair odor" mentioned. If you haven't been doing so, try taking high-potentcy probiotics (acidophilus/bididus) as well to restore helpful GI bacteria. Try other treatments/compounds you may not have yet...and most of all, have faith and hope that you will succeed! Best wishes for your full recovery...
