Re: Nystatin is safe & effective
Warning: This is a long one!
Thank you so much for the information. I just randomly joined the curezone and don't think I am a member of a specific group since I wasn't sure exactly what was the main problem at the time. I started off thinking I had a mold reaction (I live in an old apartment/basement) or parasites. I'm pretty convinced there is a mold problem though-but don't know if I should spend the money on a home tester. I decided to get a
colonic since the
parasite regimen produced nada after 2 weeks and I've developed loose stools and stomach pain from the
Colon Cleanse stuff (the bottles say to stop if this happens). Anyways, the hydrotherapist suggested Candida infection. So, this will be my main forum now.
I am going to call my Doctor and see if she will at least "humor me" and get me a script for Nystatin to see if my symptoms improve and my E-B goes down-or away. Maybe she'll be a believer then. It makes me crazy that I brought the Candida possiblity up almost a year ago when I started having serious fatigue problems-and she completely blew it off. She checked for and diagnosed me with E-B and just said I would have to wait it out. Not even any dietary suggestions!
I'm sorry to throw a bunch of questions your way-but you seem very knowledgable and unbiased. Any suggestions or answers are greatly appreciated. So here goes:
1.Would you suggest an Infectious Disease specialist or an Allergy/Immunology specialist? Luckily, I won't have to get a referral first. Is there a website for me to find a Primary Care doctor that also works holistically. I get nothing from my insurance website for holistic medicine and they don't cover straight Naturopathy. I live in Chicago if that makes a difference in sources.
2. Do you recommend ThreeLac or Candex-or both?
3. I'm going to try the Rejuvelac recipe-but I really don't like cabbage. Will refrigerated Flora from Whole Foods do the trick?
4. I'm going for my first
colonic next monday. The therapist says I need a series-but they are $75 each. How many do I really need?
5. Do you know of any good home tester for "toxic" mold?
6. Food:
I'm now completely overwhelmed with what I shouldn't eat. I'm trying to following the "Eat Right for Your Blood Type" (I'm O)and now the Candida diet recipes. Now I'm starving because I don't know what to eat besides salad/veggies-I don't even know what dressings are safe now. No vinegar or
Sugar right? What about fruit then? Snack food for trips/movies/etc? Also, I was told not to have anything fermented-is the stuff on your website okay? Is any cheese okay? How long does freshly made juice stay good for?
So, any suggestions or recipes for healthy filling food would be soooooooo nice.
Thanks again!
