I just wanted to let you know that I feel your pain-literally. After alot of suffering that my doctor could only diagnose as Eipstein-Barr virus, I showed her an article on Intestinal Candida and she had the same response as your doctors. It is unacceptable to scoff at a patient for suggesting sources and solutions to problems they can't identify or fix. It's been almost a year and I still have positive E-B and she "doesn't really know what to do about that". From this forum(thanks TC-12)I've learned that E-B and Candida infection are related conditions. I would find an alternative Med or an Allergy/Immunology doc-I am and I wish I would have alot sooner. I can't afford the prices out of pocket so I have to find a way to use my insurance via the "Medical community" to address this problem in the way that it can. A $15 copay for a visit and prescription meds is better than most of the prices I've seen for herbal remedies/holistic practioners and the combo of them (they are all a god send though). However, I must admit that I am saving alot of money now that I'm hardly eating anything but safe veggies :)
