I did a little research on saunas not to long ago. What I found was that most doctors both mainstream and alternative seem to think that infrared saunas don't offer any extra benefit to detoxing. The only "benefit" they might offer is that the actual temperature of the infrared sauna doesn't need to be as hot to get the same amount of sweat out of you. Apparently the infrared rays heat you up more directly. The average temp of an infrared sauna is about 120-130 degrees while the average temp of standard saunas is about 180-190.
