Re: Help! Need Thanksgiving Dinner recipes!
Actually, I'm on a strict gluten-free, dairy-free diet. When I started the
Elimination Diet for candida, I discovered that I was actually suffering from gluten-intolerance and dairy reactions. That is what I believe set up the environment for the candida to run rampant and unchecked. I reviewed my personal history with information that I began to research, and discovered that I had soo many of the symptoms associated with undiagnosed gluten-intolerance, including auto-immune issues, and pre-term delivery. I realized that this was the cause of my dysbiosis and the necessary focus of my treatment.
Despite correcting my diet, and getting some intestinal relief, my thrush and vision problems persisted, so I then tried the pau d'arco. Following a candida regimen I found online using pau d'arco, I was able to get a handle on the candida in about a month and a half, continuing the diet and supplements, especially molybdenum and magnesium.
But now, I'm pretty much restricted to a GFDF diet. Fortunately, I am not having any obvious reaction to any of the other grains or foods, so it is now just a matter of trying to adjust to this restriction long-term, and not allowing myself to overindulge in the grains and fruits that I have reintroduced into my diet. I still make a point of avoiding refined
Sugar and grains for long-term health reasons.
